His powerful hit Human has had so much airplay both here and in his home country of the UK . Fun fact: My brother lives in the same town as him, in Uckfield, East Sussex.
I’m only going to share follow up activities this week, as I found a fantastic worksheet which could be used with any level for vocabulary and pronunciation practice – Many thanks to Almusia over at Busyteacher.com for sharing!
What can you do with it?
- Play a Guess Who-style game using the people from the video. Students choose someone and in pairs, their partner asks yes/no questions to identify them (Beginners +)
- Blame role-plays – Create situations for students to act out and/or discuss who is to blame. You could use simple ones such as a brother and sister feud or a broken window or extend it to events in the news e.g. world conflicts or sports incidents. (Pre-intermediate +)
- Apology role-plays – Similar to the idea above.
- Discuss the idea of being Human and human behaviour. What makes someone a good person? What is the definition of a bad person? How can we ensure that people are good? Find examples of charitable or feel-good actions that people have done. Plan a charity event. Discuss how will humans evolve in the future ((Upper-) Intermediate/Advanced)
See you again soon for another ELTune and please share any other ideas or success stories you have for this lesson!
